The Iraqi High Election Commission (IHEC) announced that more than 300 international and domestic observers and over 1,500 journalists will cover next week’s parliamentary elections.
The commission said that 304 observers, including representatives from seven embassies and 30 international organizations, will monitor the elections, while 1,350 local and 200 foreign journalists have been accredited. It added that more than 2.4 million biometric cards have been distributed so far.
