The Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) announced Tuesday that the Kurdistan Region has not yet delivered any oil, despite SOMO’s readiness to resume exports.
SOMO Director General Ali Nizar Shatari said the company has already canceled contracts with oil production companies in the Kurdistan Region and finalized the necessary measures to restart exports. He noted that the process remains stalled because no oil has been handed over by Erbil.
Shatari added that efforts are ongoing to reach a final agreement that would allow the resumption of oil exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
