A New Generation Movement MP has accused the outgoing Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) of refusing to hand over oil to Baghdad to address the ongoing salary problem.
Sipan Amedi, a member of the Kurdistan Parliament, told NRT Panorama on Tuesday that the current government has shown no readiness to take steps to resolve the crisis. He said Baghdad has asked the Kurdistan Region to deliver the remaining oil, but the government has avoided complying.
"Sudani said that the oil and revenues should be handed over to us. I am responsible for the salaries of KRG employees,” Amedi added.
