The Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) announced Monday that premature publicity is strictly prohibited, warning of penalties against those who post posters or flyers before the official campaign period.
According to IHEC, the election campaign will officially begin on September 15. Until that date, any political party or candidate engaging in campaign activities will be recorded by commission committees, and legal action will be taken against them.
