The Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) has released updated figures on candidate participation for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
According to the Commission, the total number of candidates now stands at 7,734. Out of these, 788 have been expelled from the race. However, judicial and appellate reviews have reinstated 53 candidates, allowing them to return to the contest.
IHEC reaffirmed that the parliamentary elections remain scheduled for November 11 and assured that preparations are on track to hold them on time.
