Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) President Nechirvan Barzani issued a statement on Wednesday condemning the Israeli attack on Qatar, saying it endangered security and stability in the region.
Barzani stressed that the KRG fully supports Qatar and called on the international community to take all necessary measures to stop such attacks and ensure peace.
The condemnation came after Israel targeted what it claimed to be a Hamas leaders’ meeting in Doha. Israeli authorities said steps were taken to minimize civilian casualties, while Hamas denied reports that members of its Gaza negotiating delegation were killed, confirming that five people lost their lives in the attack on the group’s headquarters in the Qatari capital.
