Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani said on Sunday that his government has fulfilled all its obligations and continues efforts to resolve the ongoing salary dispute with Baghdad.

"We have fulfilled all our duties, and we are still working to resolve the salary problem,” Barzani stated, adding, "They should not politicize the issue of salaries or use it as a tool of pressure against the region.”

He emphasized that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is awaiting the federal government to release the payments, expressing hope that the salaries would be paid soon.

On the topic of electricity, Barzani urged citizens to avoid excessive consumption and save on their bills.

He also reiterated that the KRG will not hand over its internal revenues to Baghdad, nor resume oil exports through SOMO, unless the federal government ensures timely payment of salaries to the region.
