Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced on Wednesday that the fourth round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States will be held this Saturday in Rome.
He added that prior to the talks with the U.S., Iran will hold a series of meetings on Friday with representatives from Britain, France, and Germany.
Although Iran and the United States have had strained relations for more than four decades, both sides began indirect talks on April 12 with Omani mediation. Two additional rounds were held on April 19 and later in the month, with the goal of de-escalating nuclear tensions and reopening diplomatic channels.
Further details on the agenda for the Rome meeting have yet to be disclosed.
