Kurdistan Region’s Minister of Health, Saman Barzanji, said today that the death and disability rates caused by diseases and cancer have decreased in the region, as efforts to control communicable diseases continue to show results.
Speaking at a press conference, Barzanji stated that the region has made significant progress in disease prevention and control.
"In health, there are no borders,” he said. "If a communicable disease or accident occurs in the most remote country, preparations must begin here as well. This aligns with the goals of the World Health Organization.”
He also noted that a health insurance project is planned for future implementation, aiming to further improve the region's healthcare system.
