A powerful explosion has rocked the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, injuring 516 people, according to the emergency director of Hormozgan province.
Iranian media reported that the explosion was so strong it caused widespread damage to nearby buildings, vehicles, and equipment across several kilometers around the port.
An Iranian emergency services spokesman confirmed the injury toll, saying that rescue and relief efforts are ongoing.
The cause of the explosion has not yet been officially confirmed
