The Islamic Movement of Kurdistan (IMM) issued a statement condemning the arrest of Shorsh Ghafoor, an active member of the movement and the administrator of their Fourth Headquarters in Ranya.
According to the IMM’s statement, Ghafoor was detained without a court order or prior notice, which they described as an unjust action. The IMM emphasized that Ghafoor is a well-known and prominent figure within the movement.
"We demand his immediate release and an official apology to both him and the Islamic Movement,” the statement read.
