SULAIMANI — During a meeting with United States Deputy Special Envoy to Syria David Brownstein, Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani said on Sunday (April 18) that Kurdish issues in Syria must be resolved through dialogue, rather than military means.

Barzani also urged patience, saying that the challenges in Syria could not be tackled overnight.

Brownstein said that Islamic State (ISIS) still poses a real threat in Syria and promised that the United States and the International Coalition would continue to support their partners on the ground in order to fight terrorism.
