324 new coronavirus cases in Kurdistan Region: health ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Monday (July 6) that it has recorded 324 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region.

A total of 135 of the newest cases are in Sulaimani governorate, 137 in Erbil, 37 in the Garmian administration, and fifteen in Duhok.

The ministry also said that eleven patients died from the virus, including five from Sulaimani, and six in Erbil, while 97 patients recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 7,639 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 2,789 patients have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and 263 have died from it.
