2,184 new coronavirus cases recorded in Iraq: ministry

SULAIMANI — The federal Ministry of Health said on Tuesday (June 30) that it recorded 2,184 new cases of coronavirus and 110 deaths in the country over the past 24 hours.

A total of 715 of the newest cases are in Baghdad governorate, 190 in Saladdin, 179 in Sulaimani, 149 in Basra, 145 in Karbala, 123 in Dhi Qar, 98 in Diwaniya, 97 in Kirkuk, 95 in Maysan, 80 in erbil, 74 in Diyala, 68 in Najaf, 62 in Babil, 56 in Wasit, 41 in Muthanna, six in Anbar, and six in Nineveh.

The ministry said that 110 patients died from the virus and 1,645 patients recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection.

According to the health ministry, there have been 53,708 cases of coronavirus in Iraq. 27,912 patients have recovered from COVID-19, and 2,160 have died from it.
