Mazlum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said that at the beginning of the Syrian revolution they were against war and did not fight until war was imposed on them. He stressed that for now, they do not need war and have chosen the path of dialogue.
He stated that the March 10 agreement between their side and Damascus prevented a bloody conflict between the two, calling on neighboring countries not to obstruct its implementation and expressing hope that Syria’s issues will be resolved peacefully.
Abdi added that their forces have never attacked anyone and only defend themselves, saying they should not be seen as a threat to those who do not threaten them, but rather as a force for peace in Syria and neighboring countries.
