Hoshyar Zebari, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Political Bureau, said Monday that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani’s government has failed to act fairly toward salaried employees in the Kurdistan Region and does not deserve a second consecutive term.

Zebari acknowledged Sudani’s attempts to work with honest intentions but accused his government of inhumane treatment toward KRG public sector workers, whose salaries have faced delays and disputes.

He also addressed the recent drone attacks on oil fields, saying no group has yet been identified as responsible and that they await the findings of the Iraqi government’s investigation.

Zebari warned that the political and security consequences of the recent 12-day conflict are still unresolved, and that tensions could reignite in September — a development he believes could affect the upcoming Iraqi elections.
