The Kurdistan Oil Industry Association (Epicor) told NRT on Monday that its member companies are fully prepared to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region immediately, pending the signing of a formal agreement with relevant authorities.
An Epicor spokesperson confirmed that international oil companies operating in the region are ready to re-implement existing contracts governed by international law. This follows a meeting held on July 12, 2025, between Epicor members, international energy firms, and officials from both the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi federal government.
During the meeting, companies expressed readiness to resume oil exports through the Iraq–Turkey pipeline, while calling for the resolution of outstanding payments and full adherence to existing production-sharing agreements.
Epicor emphasized its continued support for lawful cooperation and stressed that its member companies have always complied with contractual obligations. The association reiterated its mission to promote the Kurdistan Region as a secure and attractive destination for global oil and gas investments and to defend the collective interests of its members in all dealings with local and international stakeholders.
