The Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq has released its monthly report on marriage and divorce cases across the country for April 2025, revealing a total of 5665 divorce cases and 28853 marriage contracts recorded nationwide.
The highest number of divorce cases was reported by the Presidency of the Baghdad/Karkh Court of Appeal, which recorded 1056 divorces and 2857 marriages. This was followed by the Baghdad/rasafa Court of Appeal with 854 divorces and 4294 marriages.

The lowest number of divorce cases was reported in Muthanna, with only 96 divorces and 691 marriages, while Qadisiyah recorded 266 divorces and 909 marriages.
