Iraqi Finance Minister Taif Sami announced that contracts have been signed with two leading international companies to assess the performance of government-owned insurance firms. Among them is Ernst & Young (E&Y), a member of the Big Four professional services firms.
The companies will provide technical recommendations to the Ministry of Finance regarding potential mergers, restructuring, or performance improvements, in line with international best practices and standards. The evaluation is being conducted under the guidance of the Council of Ministers.
