A prisoner convicted of murder escaped from Zrka prison in Duhok while being transported to a hospital for treatment.
According to local sources, the inmate asked to use the bathroom during the hospital visit and managed to flee through a window. The prisoner had been convicted of murdering a woman.
Security forces have launched a search operation, but he has not yet been apprehended.
