A New Generation Movement MP has criticized the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Interior Ministry for allowing parliamentarians to blacken their car windows, calling the decision "shameful.”
Goran Dibageyi, a member of the KRG parliament, said on Monday that it is disgraceful for the Interior Ministry to permit MPs to use vehicles with blackened windows. He added that the New Generation Movement faction would not abide by this decision.
"Any decision that is not in the interest of the people has no value and will not be supported,” Dibageyi stated.
His comments come after the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) requested the Interior Ministry to allow MPs to blacken their car windows.
