Baghdad, Iraq – The Iraqi court has acquitted Mohammed al-Halbousi, leader of the Taqadum Party, of all charges brought against him. The Federal Court of Appeal issued a statement rejecting the accusations, clearing Halbousi of any wrongdoing.
Following the court's decision, Halbousi posted on social media, saying, "When the people of truth are silent against the wrong, the people of lies will have the imagination that they are on the right."
Previously, Halbousi had been expelled from the Iraqi parliament and removed as speaker on charges related to fraud in the resignation of a member of his faction.
