Iraq’s National Investment Board (NIB) has signed a contract with a U.S. company to develop investment opportunities for the construction of the Al-Taib Economic City in Maysan province, NIB spokesperson Hanan Jassim told Al-Sabah newspaper on Monday.
Jassim stated that the city will focus on the oil, gas, and energy sectors, and its development will follow a proposal previously approved by the board.
She added that the board aims to establish economic cities across various sectors, including energy, telecommunications, electricity, and healthcare.
