SULAIMANI — The Internal Security Forces of North and East
Syria have put siege security measures in place after two Islamic State (ISIS)
militants staged a suicide attack targeting a checkpoint in Hasaka’s al-Nashwa
neighborhood, Rojava Information Center said on Saturday (April 1).
Both ISIS members, wearing suicide belts, were killed in an
attack that lasted ten minutes on Friday.
Security forces seized eight bombs, suicide belts, two
AK-47s and ammunition following the attack, Hawar News Agency said.
The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights said on Friday they
have documented 41 ISIS operations in the Autonomous Administration of North
and East Syria this year.
According to their statistics, 30 people have been killed in
these operations, including five civilians, 23 members of Syrian Democratic
Forces, Internal Security Forces and other forces operating in the Autonomous
Administration, one unidentified man and one ISIS member.
