SULAIMANI — Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on
Tuesday (March 21) the body of Shervan Kobani, the commander of the Anti-Terror
Units (YAT), and the remains of eight other SDF members have been returned to
Syria from the Kurdistan Region.
Shervan Kobani was among nine SDF members who died in the
crash of two helicopters in Duhok last week.
The SDF said the victims’ bodies were returned to Rojava
after a series of negotiations.
The victims’ remains will be buried in a ceremony in Hasaka
on Wednesday which the General Commander of SDF forces, Mazloum Abdi, will
attend, according to the group’s statement.
