SULAIMANI — An American media site said on Tuesday (December 7) their investigation has revealed Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani is the secret owner of an $18.3 million building in Miami.

The American Prospect says an anonymous shell company from the U.S. state of Delaware purchased the South Beach Miami property and an error from Cozen O’Connor, a law firm based in Pennsylvania, revealed paperwork containing the signatures of Masrour Barzani and his brother Muksi Barzani.

The property ownership listing of the company was listed as real-estate company KLNB, who deny owning the building, according to the American Prospect. The magazine says the building’s purchase was made by Wolters Kluwer, a company they said creates other anonymous companies.

The American Prospect said the Barzani family owns mansions in California and Virginia and assets in Burj Khalifa and Palm Jumeirah in the United Arab Emirates, citing a database leak of UAE property records.
