403 new coronavirus cases recorded in Kurdistan Region: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health announced on Friday (November 27) it had recorded 403 new cases of the novel coronavirus infections in the Region over the past 24 hours.

A total of 144 of the newest cases were in Duhok governorate, along with 126 in Sulaimani, 105 in Erbil, twenty in the Garmain administration, six in Halabja governorate, and two in the Raparin administration.

On October 27, the Region recorded the highest single-day COVID-19 cases with 1,597 infections.

The Ministry also said twenty-six patients had died from the virus, while 209 recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 95,638 officially-recorded cases of the coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 59,241 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and 3,104 have died from it.
