379 new coronavirus cases recorded in Kurdistan Region: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health announced on Thursday (November 26) it had recorded 379 new cases of the novel coronavirus infections in the Region over the past 24 hours.

A total of 143 of the newest cases were in Duhok governorate, along with 123 in Erbil, 90 in Sulaimani, twelve in Halabja governorate, nine in the Garmian administration, and two in the Raparin administration.

On October 27, the Region recorded the highest single-day COVID-19 cases with 1,597 infections.

The Ministry also said seventeen patients had died from the virus, while 392 recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 95,235 officially-recorded cases of the coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 59,032 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and 3,078 have died from it.
