SULAIMANI —  A Turkish drone targeted a vehicle belonging to the Sinjar Resistance Units (YBS) in Khana Sor community's Bare village in Sinjar on Sunday evening (November 8).

NRT reporter Nazir Shangali said that the vehicle was destroyed.

It was not immediately clear how many passengers were on board the car. No casualties were reported.

The Turkish military routinely carries out airstrikes and artillery bombardments in the Kurdistan Region and northern Iraq against suspected targets of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). The YBS is linked with the PKK.

On January 15, Turkish warplanes bombed a base belonging to the YBS in Sinjar's Dguri community, in which YBS commander Zardasht Shingali and four fighters were killed and five others, including a civilian, were wounded.

Since operations escalated on June 15, at least six civilians have been killed in the Kurdistan Region, along with two Iraqi military commanders.
