Kurdistan Region passes 45,000 officially recorded coronavirus cases: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Saturday (September 26) that it has recorded 520 cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region over the past 24 hours.

A total of 271 of the newest cases are in Duhok governorate, along with 109 in Erbil, 95 in Sulaimani, twenty four in Halabja, and twenty one in the Garmian administration.

The ministry also said that thirty three patients have died from the virus, while 264 patients recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 45,215 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 28,938 patients has recovered from COVID-19 and 1,650 have died from it.
