SULAIMANI — Iraq’s Security Media Cell said on Sunday (September 20) that a Katyusha rocket fell in the vicinity of Baghdad International Airport.

The rocket was launched from the Abu Gharib area in the Iraqi capital. There were no reports of damage or casualties.

On September 16, a Katyusha rocket fell on a building in al-Qadisiya residential complex in Baghdad’s Green Zone.

Such attacks are common, especially on Baghdad’s Green Zone or other targets associated with foreign military or diplomatic missions. The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), particular those with close ties to Iran, are widely believed to be responsible.
