Body of drowning victim found in Little Zab River

SULAIMANI — Koya Civil Defense Directorate said on Friday (August 14) that its rescue teams have recovered a body of man who drowned while swimming near Dukan Lake on August 6 from the Little Zab River near Ashti sub-district.

The directorate said in a statement that the victim was born in 1992 and was a student who lived in Baghdad.

The statement added that his body was handed over to police in Dukan in order to be returned to his family.
