348 new coronavirus cases recorded in Kurdistan Region: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Monday (August 3) that it has recorded 348 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region.

A total of 244 of the newest cases are in Erbil governorate, along with 60 in Duhok, twenty five in th Garmian administration, and nineteen in Sulaimani.

The ministry also said that fourteen patients have died from the virus, while 114 patients recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 14,816 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 9,413 patients has recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and 574 have died from it.
