254 new coronavirus cases recorded in Kurdistan Region: ministry

Including fourteen new deaths in the past 24-hours

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Sunday (July 12) that it has recorded 254 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region.

A total of 85 of the newest cases are in Erbil governorate, along with 71 in Garmian administration, 55 in Sulaimani, eighteen in Halabja, fifteen in Raparin, and ten in Duhok.

The ministry also said that fourteen patients died from the virus, while 84 patients recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 9,455 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 3,378 patients have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and 326 have died from it.
