SULAIMANI — In an effort to prevent the continued spread of coronavirus, officials in the Garmian administration said on Saturday (July 4) that government offices will remain closed until July 11.

In the statement, the administration said that all checkpoints will close between the Garmian administration and Sulaimani, Tuzkhurmato, Khanaqin, Jalawla, and Sangaw until July 12.

During the period that the checkpoints are closed, farmers will be given permission to visit their farms and crops under the condition that they travel between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m.

‪The administration said that all mosques, religious sites, meeting halls, parks, and shisha bars will remain closed as before, but restaurants, food stalls, cafes shops, and sweet shops can stay open under the condition that they close down in the evening at 8 p.m.
