187 new coronavirus cases in Kurdistan Region: health ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Friday (July 3) that it has recorded 186 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region.

A total of 89 of the newest cases are in Sulaimani governorate, 39 in Erbil, 44 in the Garmian administration, ten in Raparin administration, and five in Duhok.

The ministry also said that eight patients died from the virus, including seven from Sulaimani, and one in Garmian administration, while 88 patients recovered from the disease.

According to the health ministry, there have been 6,844 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 2,252 patients have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and 231 have died from it.
