Two new cases of coronavirus in Erbil: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Wednesday (June 3) that it recorded two new cases of coronavirus infection in Erbil governorate.

The newest patients are two women who are from Soran’s Khalifan sub-district. One of them presented with symptoms and the other one had contact with her.

According to the health ministry, there have been 851 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. Four hundred and thirty-four patients have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and fourteen have died from it.

More than half of the total cases recorded in the Kurdistan Region have been identified in the last three weeks. The first case in the Region was recorded on March 1.
