22 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Sulaimani: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Thursday (May 28) that it recorded twenty-two new cases of coronavirus in Sulaimani governorate.

The newest patients include nine women and twelve men. Eight of them were identified through contact tracing and the other fourteen patients presented with symptoms of the disease.

Twenty-one of the cases are from Sulaimani city and one of the cases in from Warmawa.

According to health minister, there have been 566 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. Four hundred and nine patients have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and five have died from it.
