Three new cases of coronavirus recorded in Kurdistan Region: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Tuesday (May 26) that it recorded three new cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours in Erbil and Sulaimani.

The newest cases in Erbil are an 18-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man who had contact with previously identified patients. And the new case in Sulaimani is a 34-year-old man and is from Penjwen district, he presented with symptoms of the disease.

According to health minister, there have been 507 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region. Four hundred and three patients have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and five have died from it.
