Two new coronavirus cases recorded in Erbil, Halabja

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health said on Friday night (March 27) that new cases of coronavirus were recorded in Erbil and Halabja.

The ministry said that the patients are a 34-year-old man who was under quarantine in Erbil and the other is 37-year-old from Halabja.

The ministry also said that nine patients in Sulaimani and three in Erbil recovered from  COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and been sent home from the hospital.

The announcement brings the total number of cases in the Kurdistan Region up to 115. Fifty-two patients have recovered and two have died.
