SULAIMANI — A Turkish airstrike killed one civilian in Sidan village in Amedi on Wednesday (February 26).

NRT Digital Media reporter Nihad Ouramari said that the attack took place at approximately 5 p.m. local time.

“Several people from the surrounding area went to Sidan to work on their farms. The person who was killed is a resident of Shiladze,” Ouramari said.

“The warplanes also bombed one vehicle thought to belong to the Kurdistan Workers' Party [PKK]. It is yet not known if there was anyone in the vehicle,” he added.

The Turkish military routinely carries out airstrikes and artillery bombardments in the Kurdistan Region against suspected PKK targets.
