ISIS militants attacked Iraqi federal police in Kirkuk, says reporter

SULAIMANI — Islamic State (ISIS) militants attacked Iraqi federal police at a checkpoint in Kirkuk province on Tuesday night (December 10), an NRT reporter has said.  

NRT Digital Media reporter Aso Ahmed said that the militants attacked a checkpoint near the village of Hatin in Dubiz district in northern Kirkuk at 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday.

Two members of the federal police were wounded in the clash, he added.

ISIS militants continue to be active in and around Kirkuk and have launched a number of attacks in the last few months.
