SULAIMANI — Five days after Turkey began its intervention in northeastern Syria, the Kurdistan Parliament announced that it would hold a session on Tuesday (October 14) to discuss the situation there.

The Parliament Speaker Rewaz Fayaq asked lawmakers to attend the session at 11:00 a.m.

“The session will focus on the viewpoints of the Parliament’s caucuses about the situation in Western Kurdistan,” she said.

More than 100,000 people have been displaced by the fighting so far, many of whom are expected to flee to the Kurdistan Region.
