The gunmen have broken much of the station’s broadcasting equipment, knocking the channel off the air at least temporarily.

Several of the employees of the channel were humiliated by the attackers and their mobile phones were taken.

The gunmen were driving several white Toyota Land Cruiser GRX SUVs and also attacked local police that were in the area.

Several other TV channels were also attacked in the capital on Saturday, including Dijla, al-Arabiya, al-Hadath, and Al-Ghad.
