SULAIMANI — Turkish fighter jets bombed a Sinjar Resistance Units (YBS) base on Tuesday (November 19), as the Turkish army and its Syrian rebel allies continue their operation against Kurdish fighters in neighboring Syria.

NRT correspondent Nazir Shingali said that the YBS base, which is located in the Khana Sor community in Sinjar’s Sinune sub-district, was used to store weapons and ammunition.

Five YBS fighters were wounded in the strike.

On November 4, two YBS fighters were wounded in another Turkish airstrike on Khana Sor.

The Turkish military routinely carries out airstrikes and artillery bombardments in the Kurdistan Region and northern Iraq against suspected targets of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). The YBS is linked with the PKK.
