The Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) announced that more than 23 million ballot papers have been prepared for the upcoming elections.
Deputy spokesman Nibras Abu Suda said 22,046,200 papers are allocated for general voters and 1,509,300 for special voting. He noted that the ballot cards feature hidden symbols and colors visible only through special devices, making them impossible to copy.
He added that all ballots will be counted, sorted, and stored in the commission’s archives after the elections, with access granted only when necessary.
