Shaswar Abdulwahid Qadir, the leader of the New Generation Movement, has issued a message from prison calling on citizens to support his movement, describing it as a "clean and pure” force imprisoned for wanting a better life for the people of Kurdistan.
"There is a pure movement whose leader is in jail only because he want people to live happily and have jobs,” Abdulwahid said in his message.
He added that the New Generation Movement has not caused harm to anyone, emphasizing that "your support for New generation Movement is like winning the truth.”
In his appeal to the public ahead of the November 11 parliamentary elections, Abdulwahid said citizens have the right to "reward this honest force” by voting for the New generation Movement list.
