delegation from the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) visited the office of the New Generation Movement on Wednesday and discussed the imprisonment of the movement’s leader, Shaswar Abdulwahid Qadir, as well as violations said to be committed against the movement by the two ruling parties.
The delegation was led by Mutsi Murnyaradzi, UNAMI Political Affairs Officer in the Kurdistan Region. The meeting addressed political aspects of the elections, including the election campaign and campaign violations against the New Generation Movement.
Kawa Abdulqadir, leader of the New Generation list in Erbil, said the discussions covered the imprisonment of Shaswar Abdulwahid Qadir and the violations committed by the two ruling parties.
