A Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) delegation is scheduled to travel to Baghdad to discuss non-oil revenues with the Iraqi Financial Supervision Bureau and the Minister of Finance, a source told NRT.
The talks aim to determine the share of the federal government in the Kurdistan Region’s non-oil revenues. According to the Iraqi Council of Ministers, the joint committee tasked with this responsibility must complete its work within one week.
The Council emphasized that the Kurdistan Region is obligated to hand over its portion of non-oil revenues as part of the broader financial agreements between Erbil and Baghdad.
This visit comes amid ongoing negotiations over revenue-sharing and financial transparency between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government.
