The Coordination Framework announced it will hold a meeting on Monday, August 18, 2025, to address several pressing political and economic issues.

Among the top priorities is the suspension of oil exports through Turkey’s Jayhan port, which has been halted since March, causing significant financial losses to Iraq. The meeting will also review preparations for the parliamentary elections scheduled for November, with discussions expected on ensuring fair participation and stability during the process.

In addition, the future of US military presence in Iraq will be on the agenda, as well as deliberations on the proposed law concerning the Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) in parliament.

The Coordination Framework is expected to issue a statement following the meeting, outlining its stance on these critical matters.
